It's almost time for Vacation Bible School. Check out our new few tips to start advertising for your church today!
1: Free Cookie Giveaway-Have church members bake homemade cookies and pass them out, along with VBS invitations at a community event like a craft show, farmer's market, or fair booth.
2: Magnet Giveaway- Buy little plastic animals or get plastic animals and glue magnets to the back. Kids can use it to post a VBS invitation on their refrigerator as a reminder. Tell them that if they bring the magnet to VBS they can receive a prize.

We love our teachers! We encourage you to take time to thank a school teacher, principal, and your Sabbath School teacher(s). Be creative by sending a text, card, or gift to let them know how much you appreciate all they do. Don't forget to pray for them and their family. Teachers really do change the world!

Learn to Ride a Bike Day
Are you ready for some warmer weather? We can't wait to be outside and enjoy the spring sunshine. Celebrate Learn to Ride a Bike Day by pulling out your bikes and going outside for some fresh air. If it's too chilly today, plan a biking adventure with some of your friends for when it's warmer. Be a missionary for Jesus by looking for kids who don't know how to ride their bikes. Spend time giving advice to your younger sibling. Share safety tips like wearing a helmet, riding with the traffic, and keeping on a sidewalk when possible. Look for friends to witness to the next time you're out on your bike.

Library Week
What better way to celebrate National Library Week than to thank a library worker. Not only do they keep the shelves stocked with our favorite books, they research, specialize in different kinds of media, archive local history, and much more! Celebrate by going to your school or local library to personally thank a librarian, give them a homemade goodie, check out books, open your own library card, donate books, or gift them one of your all-time favorite books. Let them know how much their service means to your community!

Volunteer Week
It’s time to celebrate National Volunteer Week! This week provides the perfect opportunity for you to thank some of your favorite volunteers: church workers, school assistants, and food bank helpers. Make a card, create a “My Favorite Volunteer Certificate,” or bring in a small gift to show your appreciation. It’s also a great time to find a place you can volunteer. Ask your pastor what needs to be done around the church, look for a local soup kitchen to help at, or go to your local Adventist school to see how you can lend a hand. Happy Volunteering!

National Sibling Day
Happy National Sibling Day! It is a great time be a missionary in your own home. Let your brothers or sisters know how much you love them. Parents can also help kids celebrate by providing fun suggestions like playing games to encourage bonding, painting pottery, or taking special pictures. Maybe you could even surprise your siblings with something thoughtful!

National Inspiring Joy Day
Joy is more than just a happy feeling. True, Biblical joy is a long-lasting emotion that comes from choosing to trust God and His promises. Jesus gave His life for everyone, and this is the time of year that many celebrate His death and resurrection. Bring joy to others by sharing what Jesus has done for them. Go to the following link to find beautiful printables about Jesus’ resurrection called, “Jesus is Passionate about you,” or “God’s Greatest Gift of Love.” Print some, pair them with sharing books or GLOW tracts, and then include homemade or store-bought treats to create packages to share with those in your community.

Love Your Pet Day
Show your love for God’s creatures today by doing something special for your own pet or for local animals at a shelter or in your neighborhood. Set up an obstacle course, buy or make a special dog treat, schedule a pet play date, walk a neighborhood dog, bring pet food or homemade fleece blankets to the local shelter, or say a prayer for someone who has recently lost a pet.

Random Act of Kindness Day
Happy Random Acts of Kindness Week! It's time to celebrate by showing some kindness to those around you. Gather your family together and decide on something you can do this week to show random kindness: carry groceries for a stranger, take donuts to school, walk a neighbor's dog, take a small gift to someone special, give a fancy chocolate bar to someone who serves you, or donate blankets to a homeless shelter. There are so many ways you can show kindness this week. We can't wait to hear how you choose to be missionaries for Jesus!

Make a Friend Day
Friends are treasures from the Lord, and we can increase our friend group this week by celebrating National Make a Friend Day. Some fun ways to meet new people are volunteering with your family, passing out Glow, going to the library, joining a club, taking a class, joining a choir or orchestra, visiting a nursing home, or taking your dog to the dog park. What are some ways you can make new friends and be a misssionary for Jesus this week?

Let's Get Juicin'
Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve." Let's follow his example this week as we go out being Missionaries for Jesus. January 15-21 is National Fresh Squeezed Juice Week. It's time to work on our service and squeeze up a cup of juice for someone you love.

RAISIN You Up in Prayer
What better way to start the new year than to let someone know you're praying for them! Print these tags, and tape them to a pack of raisins. Mail them to a friend, give them to a neighbor, or visit a church member who you haven't seen in a while. Pray with them over the phone or in person and let them know that you have put them on your prayer list.
